MEDIAPRO provides broadcast production services for the CAF African Cup of Nations in Cameroon
Yaoundé, Cameroon, February 2022: MEDIAPRO provided broadcast production services for the CAF Africa Cup of Nations, which was held in Cameroon until February 6, playing a key role in supporting the competition’s host broadcaster, Cameroon Radio Television (CRTV).
The Group participated in the production of a total of 52 matches during the competition played at 6 different stadiums around the country, producing the matches played in the Japoma, Olembe, Ahmadou Ahidjo, Limbe, Kouekong and Roumdé Adjia stadiums.
110 broadcast professionals from Group companies including Medialuso, Eumovil, Mediatem, Media Travel, Omnicam4Sky and the Mediapro Africa division made the delivery of the CAN television signal possible, using an array of technical resources including two Outside Broadcast units with 24 cameras, two satellite transmission antennas (Fly Away), two Fly TV Kits and 12 special cameras.
This production consolidates MEDIAPRO’s presence in Africa where it the Group has permanent offices in Morocco, Egypt, Gabon, Kenya and Angola and have been present on the continent since 2002. MEDIAPRO has collaborated in the broadcast production of major continental competitions, such as the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, the Africa Cup of Nations and the Kenyan national league.
