BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION Founded in 1951, IOM is the United Nations agency responsible for migration and works closely with governmental, intergovernmental and non-governmental partners. IOM is dedicated to promoting humane and orderly migration for the benefit of all. It does this by providing services and advice to governments and migrants. As part of the Aware Migrants project, IOM's Regional Office (RO) for West and Central Africa based in Dakar is looking for a video production consultant. Under the supervision of the Regional Media and Communication Officer and in close coordination with the Head of Media, Communication and Outreach, the consultant will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of the campaign, creating close synergies with various regional communication and outreach projects in West and Central Africa. The successful candidate will provide fast and professional support for everyday needs such as adding subtitle, video editing capsules for social networks. DESCRIPTION OF TASKS Modify existing video content to support IOM's work in the West Africa region. Participate in the production and editing of the videos as part of the Aware Migrants campaign Support video production, including pre- and post-production aspects. Assist the media production agent in conducting training on the production of video content in the field. Subtitling videos in multiple languages Manage the IOM video library Work closely with IOM project teams to develop video and audio content in support of project objectives. Package content for different audiences (radio, television, events, online). |
