AFP (Agence France-Presse), a world leader in providing fast and accurate news coverage, is currently seeking a dynamic, self-starting Bahasa Indonesia and English-speaking video journalist for its Jakarta bureau. You will be working in a fast-paced environment alongside text and photo colleagues, as well as the bureau chief in AFP’s Jakarta bureau to help produce compelling, varied and accurate coverage to tell the story of Indonesia to a global audience. You will frequently have to shoot events live and deliver fast edits from the field, and nature and reinforce our network of freelancers and third-party providers in the country. You will also be called upon to cover events outside of Indonesia if the news requires, mainly in Asia-Pacific but potentially outside of the region as well. You will also be involved in handling user generated content and must be familiar with AFP’s guidelines concerning the use of UGC, including ensuring proper authorizations/transfer of copyright are obtained before using videos from third parties. |
