Job Vacancy: Correspondent - Deutsche Welle

Location: Nairobi, Kenya

We are seeking a Correspondent (f/m/d) for our DW Bureau Nairobi in Kenya as of 1 July 2025 or as soon as possible on the basis of a freelance contract limited for two years.

Your challenges

reporting and analysis on current events in East Africa (politics, economy, culture) for all Deutsche Welle outlets
producing reports and background packages (TV, online) from East Africa
live interviews and broadcasts for TV (in English)
creation of multimedia content for the social media platforms of DW
development of background programmes about East Africa and the region
organization of conversations as well as conducting interviews with relevant figures
