Reporting to the video editor of global beats and based in New York, Washington, D.C., Los Angeles or any U.S. city with an AP bureau, you will help to grow reader, viewer and online engagement around AP’s all-formats coverage of climate. You will pioneer new approaches to storytelling, help create and edit eye-catching social promotion and use other digital tools to present and promote stories in unique ways that will grow and expand engagement on AP’s digital and social media platforms. You’ll work closely with a diverse team of journalists and across departments to highlight engaging content tailored for mobile, websites and other digital platforms. We’re seeking a digital native journalist who can identify trending topics in climate and bring ideas to fruition by also producing and editing content in all formats for various platforms. The successful candidate does not need to be an expert in climate topics. You should have experience in reporting on complex subject matters and boiling them down into digestible, easy to understand content for general readers. |
