The Associated Press seeks an engagement editor to join our growing team of diverse journalists focused on digital audiences. We’re looking for journalists with curiosity, drive and creativity. You’re someone who has a rich understanding of how news travels on site, search, newsletters and other platforms. This role will bring news and information during the busiest time of AP’s audience cycle, reporting to the news editor covering mornings for APNews. For this position based in any U.S. city with an AP bureau, the typical shift is 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Eastern, Monday through Friday, with flexibility required to accommodate breaking news and special events. The AP is a hybrid workplace, with local daytime shifts worked in-office Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and Tuesdays through Thursdays starting in May. This is a staff position covered by AP’s agreement with the News Media Guild. |
