AFP (Agence France-Presse), a world leader in providing fast and accurate news coverage, is offering two exciting opportunities to work as a video producer on its vibrant North America video editing desk. You would work out of the Washington DC or the Los Angeles bureau. As a video producer on the desk, you would handle a wide variety of news and features from across the United States, Canada and the Caribbean. Among other tasks, you will turn around and validate videos for clients, edit from live feeds, compile packages of B-roll and file footage, source UGC as well as videos from external providers. Working under the supervision of the North America Video Editor-in-Chief, her deputy, the head of output and under the overall authority of regional Editor-in-Chief, you may also be asked to create ready-to-publish videos, mainly for digital clients. Should you be based in Los Angeles, you would work in the Los Angeles bureau and consult the Los Angeles Bureau Chief on logistical and operational matters. |
