To support our Communications Division, FIFA is looking to recruit a motivated and solution-oriented person with the ability to work in a cross-divisional team as a:
Director of Communications
Your duties
- Supporting the Chief Communications Officer in the development and implementation of the overall FIFA communications strategy
- Supporting the Chief Communications Officer in briefing senior organisation figures in advance of any media activities/appearances
- Having overall responsibility for the strategy and budgets of the sub-division
- Supporting the project management for Humanitarian / Football PR projects (fair-play / disabled football / smoke-free soccer / anti-racism / child labour / FIFA-SOS etc.)
- Supporting the organising of special projects/events (World Player Gala / Preston Football Museum)
- Leading the content creation and publication process
- Managing FIFA’s Media strategy in order to increase engagement on existing platforms, and drive the strategy on new and emerging platforms, working closely with the Chief Communications Officer
- Actively participating in (or leading) cross-departmental and cross-divisional initiatives
- Conducting procurement-compliant tender processes to select the best services providers for FIFA Communications
- Developing and maintaining relationships with media departments of football and inter-sport organisations
- Leading and controlling editorial responsibility for all FIFA publications (editorials, forewords, agendas, news, brochures, specials, speeches, etc.)
- Establishing relationship to the appointed host broadcaster at events
- Ensuring project management at public events
- Reporting activities and results to top management
