German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has dismissed Finance Minister Christian Lindner, signaling the end of the coalition government. Scholz announced he will seek a confidence vote in the Bundestag on January 15 - to determine parliamentary support. If unsuccessful, this could lead to early elections in March 2025
